I'm
proud to announce that I'm on the art committee for Puget Sound Blood Center's
unique charity event called Faces for Life. Now in its third year, the
Faces for Life exhibition and benefit auction draws upon the creative
talent and support of local and national artists, actors, musicians, writers,
celebrities and community leaders to raise funds that will go directly to support
research at Puget Sound Blood Center.
One of my duties is to contact talented artists, like yourself, to ask you
to join past participants Dale Chihuly, Gwyneth Paltrow, Muhammad Ali and
Garth Brooks in creating art that will benefit the work of the Puget Sound
Blood Center!

Faces
for Life is a public exhibition and gala auction celebrating the hundreds
of thousands of anonymous faceless volunteers locally and nationally who give
their time, energy and ultimately themselves to save lives in our community.
Participating artists' work will be displayed at the Bellevue Square Mall and
Lincoln Tower for one month early next year.
It's easy to participate. In fact, we can provide all the materials you need
to paint and design a mask. An art kit, a ceramic mask, paints, brushes, as
well as a prepaid return-shipping label will be sent directly to you.
The masks can be done in any medium - you're not limited to the face we provide.
Other materials may also be incorporated and we accept all forms of artwork
within the faces theme. We ask that all finished masks be signed by the artist
and returned to Puget Sound Blood Center as early as possible but no later
than August 31, 2005.
